USB Full Form Name
Full Form of
USB :
Universal Serial
Bus
USB Full Form is Universal
Serial Bus. Almost every computer device currently comes with USB ports.
Basically, USB was developed during the 1990s and is one of the industry
standards used to connect electronic devices or communicate between the devices
and computers. It was essentially designed to establish the connection of a
computer to its peripherals like keyboards and mouse and external devices such
as mp3, cameras, disk drives, printers, etc.
USB is compatible with almost
every newly launched range of electronic devices and most phones can be charged
using USB ports. There are serial ports and parallel ports in USB, which makes
it very adaptable and user-friendly. Some call it ‘plug-and-play’ and is used
with various platforms, multiple operating systems, as well as Windows and Mac.
USB Full Form: Universidad Simon
Bolivar
Full Form of USB stands for Universidad
Simon Bolivar. The Universidad Simon Bolivar is the Spanish name for the
Simon Bolivar University, which is also referred to in its abbreviated form
USB. It is a public institution situated in the state of Miranda, Venezuela
with the motto “The University of the Future”. Established in the year 1967,
its serves as a platform for technological and scientific studies.
The University has a rich history
behind its inception and subsequent developments. It all started in the year
1967 when the institute was founded. The government had instituted a commission
which comprised of notable personalities like Luis Manuel Peñalver, Mercedes
Fermín, Luis Carbonell, Héctor Isava and Miguel Angel Pérez. The purpose was to
assess whether there existed any possibility to create a study center or
university which will be directed towards economic development.
Eventually, the President of
Venezuela Raul Leoni approved of the decision to establish such university and
signed a decree, leading to the establishment of the USB as an Instituto
Experimental de Educación Superior. The original name of the university, which
was Universidad Simon Bolivar, was changed Simon Bolivar University ( also in
Spanish Universidad Experimental Simón Bolívar) in the year 1969.
Rafael Caldera, the President of
Venezuela, had inaugurated the university when Ernesto Mayz Vallenilla was the
rector. Gerd Leufert who was motivated by pictorial reproduction of an
electrical circuit designed the logo of the university. The entire design looks
like a circular pyramid, which symbolizes gateway to knowledge and learning and
hence, it is representative of the motto of the university. The university has
about 30,000 alumni as far as the records of the year 2010 are concerned. The
University is located in the beautiful Sartenejas valley, which is situated in
Barita, Miranda, covering a total area of 3,489,000 m².
The USB offers degrees in various
disciplines. As far as undergraduate courses are concerned, it offers degrees
in Architecture, Urban Planning, geophysics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering,
Telecommunications engineering, Tourism Administration, Customs Administration,
Organization Management, Hotel Administration, and Aeronautic maintenance, etc.
The USB offers post graduate degrees in Biology, Physics, Interdisciplinary
Science, Mathematics, Nutrition, Statistics, Biomedicine engineering, Design
and Industrial Maintenance, Telematics, Electricity Distribution, Geotechnical
Engineering, Environment Development, College Education, Project management,
Applied Languages, Latin American Literature, Psychology, Public
Transportation, and Informative Education, etc.
There are certain myths and legends
popular in the USB. Take for example the logo of the university, which is often
called La cebolla, which means the Onion. This inspiration of the logo is in
contrast with the original inspiration from a photograph of an electric
circuit.
Full Form of USB: U S Bancorp
USB Full Form stands for U
S Bancorp. Also known as the USB, it refers to an American public company
located in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the United States. The USB is the parent
company of the fifth largest bank in the United States, U.S. Bank National
Association. The U.S. Bank National Association is also the fifth-largest bank
in the United States as far as deposits are concerned and it serves about 25
Midwestern and Western states. The USB provides regional banking services and
wealth management services. Additionally, the USB provides services on national
wholesale and global payments to approximately 16 million customers and employs
about thousands of persons.
The United States Bank was
founded in the 1990s when regional banks in the Western and Midwestern areas
underwent acquisition. The Bank started as the United States National Bank of
Portland, as it was then established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1891 but
changed its name to the United States National Bank of Oregon in the year 1964.
The United States National Bank was the first of all the banks to have formed a
parent bank holding company, which was named U.S. Bancorp on September 9, 1968.
In the year 1997, the US Bancorp
merged with First Bank System and the company took the name of the former
company. Following the merger, the U S Bancorp strengthened its grasp in
California by undertaking other minor acquisitions. Additionally, it took major
acquisitions in the upcoming years, the last one being in the year 2014 when it
acquired 94 branches of Charter One Bank in Chicago from the RBS Citizens
Financial Group. The acquisition of those 94 branches doubled the market share
of the U S Bancorp in Chicago.
Let us discuss the lines of
business the USB operates. Currently, the USB operates four lines of business:
individuals, the business of all magnitude, municipalities, and financial
set-ups or institutions. The USB oversees all these with the help of the
subsidiaries like the U.S. Bank. It undertakes a selection of financial goods
and different services it intends to or already supplies to its customers or
other businesses or financial institutions. The Consumer Banking services the
USB provides includes services like small business banking, mortgage banking,
community banking services, financial planning, and insurance services, etc.
It also offers wholesale lending
which includes lending services, depository, management of treasury, etc to
various categories of markets ranging from middle-markets to public sector
clients. As far as payment services are concerned, Elavon that is a subsidiary
of USB offers merchant banking facilities to its customers. The following
divisions have been structured into the mechanisms of payment services of the

Solutions that deals with the issuance of debit, credit, small business, gift
and specialty cards.
§ Another
division in this respect is the Healthcare Payment Solutions.
§ The last one is
the Financial Institution services, offerings its own range of payment
services.
USB Full Form: Unified S-Band
Full Form of USB stands for Unified
S-band. USB refers to a tracking and communication system that was created
by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) specifically for the purpose of the Apollo Program.
The famed Apollo Program, also known as Project Apollo, was the third human
spaceflight program of the United States and was executed by the NASA. It was
this program that accomplished first successful landing of humans on the moon.
The USB operates in the S-band of
the microwave spectrum. In this operation, it combined voice communications,
telemetry, television, tracking, command, and ranging into a singular system
and this was done with the objective of streamlining operations. Goddard Space
Flight Center, also known as GSFC, was given the task of handling the ground
network of the USB. The USB involved business contractors like Collins Radio,
Blaw-Knox, Energy Systems, and the Mobile giant, Motorola.
The USB system implemented in the
Apollo program was not to absolutely substitute other radio transmitters, which
were earlier used in space missions, as Apollo still used VHF, the Lunar
Module, and Lunar Rover, etc. The USB system used in the Apollo program holds
great relevance in space engineering, considering the fact that approximately
every human flight space mission uses some sort of combined microwave system.
The USB uses two categories of
band systems, depending upon the kind of transmission being performed. For
earth to space transmissions, the USB uses the 2025-2120 MHz band for
uplinks whereas for space to earth transmission, the USB uses the
2200-2290 MHz band for downlinks. Both of these USB band systems are used
globally in any space research operations.
USB S-band uplinks and downlinks
generally used phase modulation and regardless of modulation, phase modulation
has static amplitude. The Phase modulation index in the USB is small, on the
order of 1 radian, which facilitates resemblance with double sideband amplitude
modulation (AM) but the resemblance does not happen in carrier phase. The
Apollo made use of a low modulation because it obtains a strong carrier, which
can be used in the measurement of Doppler shift and thereby accurately
determining velocity.
